Gut-Loving Papaya Protein Smoothie Bowl

Serves: makes 1 Bowl

Ingredients:

For the Protein Smoothie Bowl

  • 1 cup fresh papaya (peeled, deseeded, chopped, slightly frozen for best texture)
  • 1 large frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen mango or pineapple
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup plant-based milk, just enough to blend (start small!)

For the Topping

  • Fresh Papaya, diced into large chunks
  • Toasted coconut flakes
½ banana, sliced into thick rounds

Method:

  1. Add all base ingredients to a high-powered blender or food processor.
  2. Blend, stopping to scrape down sides. Keep it thicker than a 2008 iPod Classic.
  3. Add milk slowly, only if needed. Use a tamper or pulse-blend method for a thick texture.
  4. Spoon into a chilled bowl, level out with the back of your spoon.
  5. Garnish with the fresh toppings and enjoy.
